J. Knipper and Company New Facility Reflects Strong Company Growth

LAKEWOOD, NJ – August 18, 2005

James J. Knipper, President/CEO, J. Knipper and Company, announced that the company’s new 180,000 square foot facility, located at One Healthcare Way in Lakewood, New Jersey, has been completed and is ready to serve their customers. The facility, which will house more than 225 employees, features technically advanced data management platforms and complete, redundant backup systems.

Mr. Knipper stated, “Our new facility represents a very significant milestone for J. Knipper and Company, and for our valued customers as well. It signifies that we are exceptionally well prepared to meet the challenges of the dynamic and increasingly complex pharmaceutical business environment, in the present as well as the future.”

This superior facility, which is comprised of a single building that is expandable to 240,000 square feet, has 25,000 square feet of office space, 50,000 square feet of assembly area, and 105,000 square feet of warehousing space. Its technically advanced design reflects current best management practices.

Ensuring comprehensive sample fulfillment support

Mr. Knipper emphasized the new facility is a direct response to continuous and robust revenue growth attributed to the company’s ability to attract new and impressive pharmaceutical accounts. “Foremost is our ability to ensure strict compliance to FDA and DEA mandates in providing comprehensive sample fulfillment support for our pharmaceutical, biotech and other healthcare customers”, he said. “This important service is paralleled by our strengthin providing direct mail services, database management, multi-faceted direct-to-consumer programs, adherence and persistency programs, crisis management and recall management as well as innovative, web-based sample support services.”

Network, Telecom, Security, Data Protection and Exceptional Overall Safety

It was explained that the new Knipper facilities offer some landmark features in serving the industry. The entire facility will be supported by wireless LAN technology. The network, telecom, security and data protection systems ensure the highest level of safe and secure handling of database management and pharmaceutical samples. The data center is equipped with an advanced fire protection system. All communications services, security hardware and phone systems have power backup in place. Ingress and egress traffic is carefully monitored with dynamic update capabilities. Exceptional virus protection features the configuration of individual nodes for definition updates and scanning criteria. Workstations are updated at specific intervals throughout the day, ensuring software installation, latest DAT version and general compliance with the anti-virus policy. Data is backed up daily and weekly tapes are stored in a data room. End of week backup tapes are stored off-site in a fireproof safe. Month-end tapes are stored at an offsite banking facility.

The facilities include areas dedicated to narcotic storage that are refrigerated and temperature controlled. These areas are significantly more encompassing than Knipper’s previous storage facilities, which were regarded by the industry as considerable.

The new Knipper facility employs advanced fire suppression and alarm systems with exceptional power backup that also supports HVAC and other electrical equipment. The highest standards of environmental safety are maintained throughout the facility, addressing special concerns for both employees and neighboring businesses and residences.

A formal dedication ceremony celebrating the opening of this facility is planned for September 9, 2005. Invitees include local dignitaries, corporate staff, and J. Knipper and Company customers.
