J. Knipper and Company Announces Launch of “Target Topics”

LAKEWOOD, NJ – June 26, 2006

James J. Knipper, President/CEO, announced the launch of "Target Topics", a single-sponsor (per issue) educational resource. “Target Topics” is a service, sponsored by pharmaceutical companies, designed as a primary resource for improving patient care in specific disease states.

Mr. Knipper reported that the inaugural issue of the series was sponsored by a major pharmaceutical manufacturer and featured the advice of world-renowned thought leaders in the therapeutic category of Alzheimer’s Disease.

"‘Target Topics’ is driven by our awareness that there is sometimes a disconnect between the expansive knowledge held by thought leaders in specific disease states and community-based physicians around the country. ‘Target Topics’ fills the information gap while simultaneously positioning the pharmaceutical company as a value-added partner and leader in a specific therapeutic category,” said Mr. Knipper.

Working closely with scientists and understanding the challenges faced by community-based physicians, Knipper created an 8-page, 4-color educational vehicle, and mailed it to 80,000 targeted physicians. Additional copies were produced for personal distribution by the client’s sales representatives. In addition, special requests have been made from third party organizations for access to this educational piece.

The comprehensive communication includes detailed sections on Screening and Testing for Alzheimer’s Disease, Overcoming Obstacles to AD Diagnosis and Treatment, and in-depth reporting on the distinction between Mild Cognitive Impairment and Alzheimer’s Disease. A reference guide to accessing general information about AD is also featured.

Mr. Knipper said that a distinguished group of respected medical experts were called on as editorial consultants in the preparation of the first issue of “Target Topics”. Knipper’s Medical Writer, Meredith Gould, worked closely with the experts to translate their extensive knowledge into useful information for the community physician who faces different challenges on a day to day basis.

“Target Topics” is yet another turnkey communications product from Knipper. The design, interviewing, writing, printing and mailing of the newsletter to a customized list of practitioners are all handled by Knipper.

“We are currently engaged in discussions with pharmaceutical companies who have seized strong leadership positions as providers of drug therapy for specific disease states. We encourage inquiries from pharmaceutical organizations with approved, breakthrough solutions to managing serious disease states. We firmly believe that we can help enhance the relationships between pharmaceutical companies and their practitioner universe through this effective and informative series.”
